Philippe TOURRETTE, chairman of the board and CEO

Philippe is a self made man who earned significant experience in a variety of fields: general management, marketing, finance, mergers and acquisitions, stock market, quality insurance systems, sales activity. In 1990, at the age of 29, he founded a company called IOLTECH. This company was involved in surgical ophthalmology and conquered a significant international market share in less than 15 years thanks to the quality of its R&D, its teams its services and its commercial pro activity. In 1998 IOLTECH launched a successful IPO and was subsequently listed on the Paris stock market. The funds raised on the stock market enabled a further acceleration of the R&D and external acquisition processes. As a result, the sales were multiplied six fold. In 2004, the staff reached the 350 employees mark working for several subsidiaries across Europe, USA and Indian Ocean. Sales grew up to €60 million. Philippe then decided to sell IOLTECH to one of the leading group of medical system and devices in ophthalmology, CARL ZEISS MEDITEC, for €110 millions. This sale had several goals: • insuring the ongoing success of the company, with a strong presence in La Rochelle • creating a more diverse and comprehensive range of products for the clients • give the opportunity to all existing IOLTECH shareholders to make a gain. Following the acquisition, Philippe remained a significant shareholder of IOLTECH / CARL ZEISS MEDITEC and played a key role in the successful integration. Willing to share his expertise and his energy with other entrepreneurs, he created TOURRETTE INVESTISSEMENTS with a share capital of €19 million.

Sylvie TOURRETTE, Chief Administrative Officer

Sylvie worked for a number of years in the boat industry. She then joined IOLTECH to head the purchase and logistic team. With a very hands-on approach she managed a team of 25 persons with only one objective in mind: client satisfaction. She was involved in the audit for the quality insurance system.

Alain DELORT, CFO

After a first experience in project finance for the French bank BNP, Alain joined Ernst & Young. He spent there 5 years working both in audit and in mergers and acquisition. In 1998, he reached the manager status but left Ernst & Young when one of his clients, FIVES LILLE, asked him to join as controller of its subsidiary in Australia. Alain came back to France and joined IOLTECH as CFO in 2003. He brought is technical expertise for the acquisition of several new subsidiaries and creation of new distribution company outside of France. He also played a key role in the financial communication to the stock market. In early 2007, he was appointed CEO of IOLTECH / CARL ZEISS MEDITEC with extended responsibilities within the whole business unit. He joined TOURRETTE INVESTISSEMENTS in February 2008. Alain holds a Master degree in Business Administration of ESCP EAP. He is also a French CPA. He speaks fluent English.
